Silver Medal: The VisiWin OPC UA Server achieved second place in the Computer & Automation readers’ choice of the product of the year in the category Software & IT.
The server can be used in various application scenarios, for example, as data interface in superordinate MES/ERP systems or IIOT gateways. The integrated OPC UA clients of such systems can use OPC UA Data Access via the VisiWin OPC UA Server to access production data of a running process as well as to pass set points to the process.
Today, data can also be exchanged between several machines (M2M) via OPC UA—with the VisiWin OPC UA Server this is also possible for machines that do not support the OPC UA functionality themselves.
Integrated OPC UA security functions for data authentication and encryption reduce the risk of unauthorized data access.
