New VisiWin Version 2025-2

VisiWin 7 HMI-Software Devices

With its completely open architecture, our HMI software allows to create open solutions based on standards thus offering unlimited HMI possibilities. Nevertheless, machine manufacturers don’t have to dispense with the countless configurable system functions. VisiWin is constantly further developed—many VisiWin features originate from the close relationship with our customers. Your requirements and good ideas are always appreciated and, if possible, implemented in VisiWin.

The new VisiWin 7 version 2025-2 is now available for download in the download area of our website.

The setup includes the following components:
IDE (Visual Studio integration included) (new)
Runtime system 7.4 RC1 (new)
Runtime system 7.3 SP6 (new)
Runtime system 7.2 SP24 (new)

IDE

In the IDE's Document Outline, controls in Web UI projects can now be easily moved via drag-and-drop and added from the toolbox.

The revised expert mode for creating new projects allows for a more intuitive selection of the required project template.

The possibilities for managing NuGet packages in Modern UI projects habe been expanded: They now include adding, removing and updating NuGet packages from different package sources.

The VisiWin 7 Visual Studio Extension is now also available for Visual Studio 2026.

Web UI 7.4

The log entries (Audit Trail) recorded by the server can now be easily displayed in the application using a new template. Custom log entries can be generated via an action.

The TrendChart control now offers the option to mark individual recording points on the curve using configurable symbols. Additionally, the recorded values can also be displayed as a stepped curve (staircase curve).

When displaying timestamps, an optional marker for Daylight Saving Time (summer and winter time) can be shown.

Collection properties can now also be published in user controls.

Using a new SVG control, you can animate SVG graphics with ease. The control allows for features such as color changes or the rotation of the selected SVG graphic.

The image selection dialog has been functionally and visually revised and now offers all image types for selection.

Modern UI 7.4

The client framework is now provided via NuGet packages. This allows, for example, for easy, parallel use of different versions or an installation-free deployment of client applications.

When displaying timestamps, an optional marker for Daylight Saving Time can be shown.

A new sample project demonstrates the use of the Process Controls Library provided on GitHub for the simple design of process images using animated PID symbols, such as pumps or valves.

Websites and PDF documents can now be displayed within the application using two new controls.

Cross-Platform Server 7.4

The Cross-Platform Server now also supports the logging of system and user-defined events (Audit Trail).

Users can define custom parameters for alarms and texts.

The connection to an external user management system (e.g., Active Directory) can now be established via LDAP.

Critical system errors, such as communication failures in the alarm system, are captured via system alarms.

Driver

The driver for Siemens S7 controllers is now also available for Linux and is included in the current Docker image.

The Sample Driver includes additional simulation variables.
