In the development of the FLEXIMATE robotic workstation, particular value was accorded to efficiency and user-friendliness. “The openness and flexibility of the VisiWin 7 Web UI are what convinced us to choose the HMI solution from INOSOFT,” explains Sven Kächelin, Team Leader Control Systems at ENGMATEC GmbH. “Thanks to the integration of the Microsoft development tools in the development environment of VisiWin 7, there are virtually no limits, and it was possible for the HMI to be individually tailored to our requirements.”
The panel PCs from KEBA, which are used in the FLEXIMATE robotic workstation, enable the operator to operate and configure the cobot workstation to optimum effect. The user interface was designed to be clear and intuitive to operate for the user, with a view to making the operating process as straightforward as possible.
The FLEXIMATE robotic workstation carries out precise repetitive pick-and-place operations and in this configuration, it opens, loads and closes an angled desk fixture for electronic testing on a fully automated basis. In addition, the workstation opens, loads and closes an HF box for wireless function testing and calibration–all in a seamless process.
New operations or tasks are set up completely independently by the customer without the need for any specialist knowledge.
This is assisted by preconfigured workflows and visual user prompts, thereby reducing the need for programming specialists.
The complete supply chain is also available as an option. Material can be fed in via KLT boxes, trays, autostackers or self-driving vehicles. Highly developed camera systems, for example, also enable a bin picking function for the automatic identification of unsorted components and precise further processing. As a general rule, this type of workstation can be used for handling a wide range of products with weights of up to 10 kg.
