Process communication | |
|---|---|
A process visualization is to monitor and control technical processes. Therefore, the communication with the control of the machine or plant to be visualized is the most pivotal task. VisiWin provides different linking options. Own drivers for modern and older controls but also OPC servers in Data Access or Unified Architecture technology link your VisiWin application with nearly everything that can be found in the world of automation. | |

The ways to the PLC
The VisiWin runtime environment communicates with the control through own drivers and through OPC servers. In a project one can not only work with several similar PLCs but even also link with controls of different makes.
Optimized communication
The communication with the PLC is often a bottleneck. Even with fast Ethernet connections one should not put too much strain on the control with reading or writing orders. With VisiWin one, therefore, arranges the variables into groups for which different sampling rates can be set and that also allow deactivation of unused variables.
Variable import from the PLC project
Most drivers are equipped with so-called variable browsers. These are familiar with the PLC project, and transfer the variables released for communication into the VisiWin project, comfortably and without typing errors.
